A exploratory mini clay camp for early learners, ages 2-5! Littles will participate in a hands-on introduction to clay, experimenting with stamps and natural textures as they make a garden stone.
We will have snacks for the kiddos, but they should bring a refillable water bottle. Please email us at epicclaystudio@chwckck.org if your child has any food allergies.
Parents should drop off littles at 10am, and pick up promptly at 12pm.

Camp Description
A three-day summer clay camp for children ages 5-10. We will focus on pottery wheel and handbuilding, practicing different techniques each day.
The camp theme is Storytelling. We will practice a variety of art mediums while talking about the stories and memories that make us “us!”
The camp will culminate in a community art show during August’s Third Friday Art Walk. This will take place on August 16, from 5-7pm in the studio. Plan to come during the Art Walk to pick up your child’s work (or schedule an alternate time with us).
Additional notes: - We will provide snacks for a break halfway through each day. - Students should bring a water bottle and wear sunscreen, as some of our activities will take place outside! Please plan to drop off / pick up your student promptly.

Camp fee is $75 per child ($45 for Wyco residents), due June 1. Contact us if you'd like to set up a payment plan. Scholarships are also available, based on financial need. To apply for a scholarship, please email us with the following:

the amount you're applying for (up to $75)

After making on pot using the pottery wheel, we will have a brief moment to present basic handbuilding techniques to sculpt onto our pots. Kids will have the choice to choose a fancy glaze to be surprised with at pick up time!
Recommended for ages 5-12. Parents and guardians may drop their kids off, or stay to observe. Wear clothes that can get messy!

In honor of the beginning of summer we will be slab making radiant suns and personify them through different sculpting techniques.

Through slab making we will create a clay scene sculpture of a particular place that kids can relate to. Kids get to personally paint their own pieces once they have completed.

June 17, 2pm-3:30pm
Kids get to play with sound through art. They will make the vessels through the pinch pot process, and later on connecting the bells to make fun music. Personally painting and decorating their bells however they’d like to.

Kiddos engage in a gratitude practice toward nature, creating terrariums and nature landscapes for a sculpted sea animal of their choice. We get to play with interpretations toward bodies of water, greenery, and sea creatures… mythical or real. Expanding our knowledge of sea life and appreciating the nature surrounding us!

Teen’s Wheel Camp Details
Wednesdays: July 3, 10, 17, and 24.

Camp Description
A month-long summer clay camp for teens! Students will go through the process of throwing, trimming, decorating, and glazing their own collection of pots on the pottery wheel.
Student work will be showcased after camp during August’s Third Friday Art Walk. This will take place on August 16, from 5-7pm in the studio. Plan to come during the Art Walk to view pick up your student’s work (or schedule an alternate time with us)!
